You’ve been asked to speak at your high school alma mater — about the path of life. (Whoa.) Draft the speech.
I remember being there in your place a few years ago…thinking, “What the heck am I supposed to do with my life.? What do I want to be after this? Would I become a teacher, an engineer, a doctor, a business man, or a nurse?”
After high school, anyone can start a new life. Anyone can make a change.
For most of us, high school has been hard. Many have to face different problems, insecurities, bullying, friend drama, family quarrels, relationship. Whatever it is you experienced, learn a lesson from it. Take it as a point for making yourself better than you are right now.
When high school chapter of your life closes, you start with college. I know most of you are excited to move into your own apartments and be able to live independently. Right now, I know that’s how you feel, because that’s how I felt too, when I was going to college. But at some point in college, you’re going to miss your parents, your home.
With college, everything will be different. You can choose whatever you want to do, you can be whoever you want.
Life is not easy. We all know it. Always keep in mind that starting things are always the hardest. But you will learn to cope. You will face more challenges..and those are bound to teach you. Be strong and never give up in reaching your dreams. Remember those who work hard gets the prize.
